Hi everyone,

I hope I've signed up for the right list and am contacting the right
people. My name is Allison Channic, and I am the vice president of the
Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) at the University of Illinois at
Chicago (UIC). In conjunction with our chapter of LUG, we will be hosting
our annual open source conference, Flourish!, on April 1-2 of this year.

On behalf of both organizations, I would like to cordially invite The
Chicago Linux Users Group to participate in our conference. We have a
number of ways for you guys to get involved including

   - *Talks *- We're looking for speakers to give one hour talks on
anything related to open source, preferably Linux. We have time slots
available for both days of the conference and will accommodate time
   preferences the best we can
   - *Mini-expo* - Set up a booth and showcase yourselves and contributions
to open source to all conference attendees. This is a great way to recruit
new members and let everyone know about Chicago LUG
   - *Workshops* - Get others involved in open source by showing others how
to install Linux, or perhaps give a more advanced demonstration to Linux
friendly users. Either way, this is a great opportunity to get people
interested in Linux and show them what it's all about.

If anyone is interested, please feel free to reach out to me at
allison at flourishconf.com.

Thank you!

Allison Channic
