No, I don't, always assuming he isn't asserting that systemd is best
for all use cases, which unfortunately seems to be by far the most
common refrain from the systemd camp.

If it's per use case, all he has to prove is it's better for specific
use cases. And he should point out that there are several distros to use
if yours is not such a use case, because otherwise it takes on this
"you too will be assimilated" quality, and inevitably this quality
inspires systemd refusers to be ever more creative in ripping out
systemd.

You're absolutely right. I phrased it wrong. Also, if he presented it
as use case dependent and admitted some use cases call for non-systemd
inits, it would be the first of its kind, at least from everything I've
heard.
