"Kubernetes training" is like "Linux training." Do you want to operate the system? Develop apps for it? Deploy apps on it? Tune it, secure it, extend it? There are infinite different focuses, and it helps if you can articulate your use case. ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐ Original Message ‐‐‐‐‐‐‐ On Thursday, June 25, 2020 12:54 PM, Carl Karsten wrote: > The Fosdem Video team uses it. in #fosdem-video > > (08:00:39 AM) CarlFK: who is the Kubernetes experts here? friend has a budget for some training, I'm fishing for a recommendation. > (09:10:48 AM) hackman: CarlFK I took the tutorials on their own site and they were sufficient for me. > > If you have some time, I bet doing both would be great, hopefully you will get further with the paid for class if you have a head start. > > On Tue, Jun 23, 2020 at 7:46 AM meg ford wrote: > >> Hey all, >> >> Recently I’ve been working on setting up our company’s machine learning pipeline using K8s. The team I’m on only had one person who has used K8s at all so I was assigned the job of being the alternate resource. I picked up the basics using the documentation, but having a better general overview of the tech seems like it’d be helpful in getting through the more painful parts of the learning curve and being able to train other people on the team. I’ve been working through the Linux Foundation’s training. I figure it makes sense to take the CKA exam and then look at information that’s more specific to machine learning use cases. Do you think that studying for the CKA is overkill for my situation?
